SKOV offers a wide variety of air inlets, meaning that no matter the location of your livestock house and we have an air inlet suited to your needs.
Depending on the age and requirements of the animals, the right amount of air must enter the house in an optimum direction and at the right height and velocity.
At low outdoor temperatures, the negative pressure causes cold air to be sucked into the livestock house. The air must not reach the animals in the livestock house without it being mixed with the housing air first.
It is essential to remove the excess heat from the animals at high outside temperatures and create air movement around them to provide a cooling effect.
Powerful and efficient air outlets
In a ventilation system from SKOV, you exhaust air from the livestock house through chimneys or wall fans.
The aerodynamic chimneys and wall fans are developed for maximum air output at low energy consumption levels.
SKOV air outlets have a high output - an advantage that can be utilized, as they are extremely pressure stable. It means that they are not affected by wind conditions around the livestock house. Our outlet provides a stable climate in the livestock house under all conditions.

Like ventilation and cooling, heating is crucial for creating the best possible climate in buildings with a high level of productivity. SKOV provides ventilation solutions in which heating is an integral part of the overall solution.
The livestock house must be heated for some time before the animals are stocked to provide the animals the best start. It is essential in climate areas where it is cool/cold.
You can raise the air temperature within a few hours; however, it may take longer to heat the walls and floor. Young animals are utterly dependent on the ambient air temperature, and the first days of life form a solid base for good production results.
Even after this first period, the climate is crucial for the animals' well-being and productivity. Particularly temperature and relative humidity have a vital role in feeding consumption, growth, stress, infection risk, etc.
High productivity in the hot periods
It may be necessary to use cooling in a livestock house to ensure that the house temperature does not get excessively high. Depending on the age of the animals and the type of production, they are affected to a greater or lesser extent if the house temperature is too high.
A high temperature has an adverse impact on productivity, including reduced feed intake, and can ultimately lead to increased mortality due to heat stress.
You can reduce the negative impact significantly using cooling. SKOV offers two types of cooling - high-pressure cooling or pad cooling.

The icons ensure recognition and make the controllers easy to operate in daily routines. The menus are straightforward and logically structured. They allow for individual setup of outline menus at different user levels.

The welfare of animals in the livestock house is important for SKOV. The utilization of the house in modern animal productions makes the production vulnerable regarding ventilation stop, for example, due to power failure.
In livestock houses with mechanical ventilation, there is a risk that animals may suffer serious harm if the ventilation system fails and is not quickly restored. The oxygen content of the air is reduced; air humidity increases, and the animals cannot get rid of their excess heat.
A quick and efficient reaction is required. The SKOV alarm and emergency opening systems are user-friendly, reliable, stable, and highly efficient.

In case of power failure, it is essential to ensure the animals fresh air – the air intake and air outlet of the ventilation system must open and NOT close.
The DOL 278T and the climate controller jointly form an independent emergency opening system. They open the swivel shutters and inlets gradually, with the use of a battery backup to naturally ventilate the barn until power can be restored.
Further, DOL 278T is connected to an independent temperature sensor in the section, providing additional security against failures or excess temperature in the livestock house.

DOL 2400 alarm system can monitor the temperature of up to 100 houses and can also be used to warn of equipment faults and other emergencies.
The alarm system includes advanced temperature monitoring with temperature compensation. It can also receive analog input from capacitive sensors and generate an alarm if the silo level is too low or the water consumption has changed.
The alarm system can generate silent alarms, general alarms, and local alarms such as sirens, flashing lights, and loudspeakers. In addition, you can receive a telephone call and a text message.
The alarm has a fingerprint scanner, but you can also use PINs to avoid unintended changes to alarm settings. It is also possible to view the operation log; the log stores events for one year.
